General Meetings
Our General Meetings are usually held on the second Thursday of every month. Newcomers are welcome.
Upcoming meetings
January Semi-Annual Kick-off
Twice a year we gather to kick-off the Fall and Winter seasons.
Kick-off follows an open-house
format where you can come meet the Board and other AWC members, learn
about and sign up for actitivies, and volunteer in an area that interests you. Our next kick-off is
on
Wed, Jan 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. OR
Thursday, January 17 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Clubhouse.
February Couples' General Meeting
February 14, 2012 EVENING MEETING at 6 p.m.
Before heading out to dinner with your sweetie, start your
Valentine's Day celebration with some bubbly and tapas
(please bring some tapas to share), then some
eye-popping, tongue-biting, laugh-out-loud
improvised comedy as the AWC welcomes
the Cyclepaths (www.thecyclepaths.nl) Please call the front
office to reserve your spots so that we can chill enough bubbly.

The AWC's Clubhouse is located
at Johan van Oldenbarneveltlaan 43 in The Hague. This location is
accessible by trams 1 and 10, bus 21, and is not far from tram
17. There is also FREE street parking in the neighborhood.
We would love for you to see the new Clubhouse, and everything else
the AWC has to offer.

€ 110 Regular/Associate Membership
€ 90 Business/Professional
€ 35 Student
€ 55 US Military (valid US military ID required)
€ 35 Non-resident Members (does not include Going Dutch magazine)
A late fee will be applied late renewals.
A € 15 administration fee applies to new Memberships.
In addition to access to our activites and events, as an AWC
member become a member of FAWCO and you will receive our club magazine, Going Dutch, which is published monthly, September through June (eight issues per year), and is mailed to members prior to each monthly meeting. In it, you will find all the pertinent information concerning the meetings and activities for that month. As a member, you will also receive a copy of our Membership Directory and a complete version of the AWC Constitution and By-Laws.
You don't need to be an American to join!
Membership is available to you immediately if you are at least 18 years of age and hold a United States passport or are married to a United States citizen. You may still join the AWC as a non-American associate member provided you meet one of the following criteria:
> You hold a valid U.S. green card but reside in the Netherlands or
> You have been a member in good standing of another FAWCO club but otherwise are not eligible for admission or
> You have an association with or connection to the U.S. (including simply speaking the English language!) through friends, family or past residence, etc. (Subject to Board approval)
If you would like to join us, please contact us at awcthehague.membership@gmail.com for an application or download one. You can join as a Regular/Associate or a Business/Professional member (full-time employment required). Regular dues are €110 per year. For all first-time members there is a €15 new member registration fee. Dues can be paid by bank transfer to the AWC's Deutsche Bank Account # 51.99.10.206 or by PIN transaction at the Front Office. Please call the club for more specifics relating to dues.

Once your application has been approved and we have received your payment, we will then send you your new AWC membership card by mail andyour member IDwill be posted to the Member board in the Club foyer.
Membership Renewal
Renewing your membership is easy. For bank transfers be sure to include your name and the word "renewal" in the description area. Be sure to renew on time to avoid late fees.
We rely on our volunteers!
We are an ALL-VOLUNTEER organization, and our members need to donate time and talent for us to continue providing services and activities. Volunteerism is accomplished through helping in the library and front office; by serving on committees, and through special activities such as the Holiday Bazaar and philanthropic galas. Your contribution, no matter how small, makes a tremendous difference to the AWC.
