Honoring What Women Do Best
The AWC of The Hague has actively participated in philanthropic activities throughout its history. Each year we receive requests for and donate monies to charitable community organizations. Since 2002, The American Women's Club of The Hague has raised over 1 Million to benefit Breast Cancer research, education and advocacy in the Netherlands.
In May 2011, we held our first Hearts and Minds Gala ,
supporting children and families affected by autism. We proudly
donated 50.000 to benefit two local autism organizations, the
Lighthouse School and Stichting Papageno (see more on our Hearts and
Minds page by clicking on the Hearts and Minds banner below). Our 2012 Gala will be held
on May 12, 2012 so please save the date.
With this rich legacy of philanthropy behind us, the AWC of The Hague is proud to honor what women do best: help people in need.
PLEASE support us in continuing to do so by participating!

As you know, October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In support of this, the AWC sold recipe books titled "Eet Smakelijk" for the Holidays at the Holiday Bazaar and will donate the proceeds to the MammaCare nursing network. MammaCare nurses are specially trained to give emotional support, assistance and treatment to women diagnosed with breast cancer and to guide them through all subsequent procedures.

We are proud to announce that "Eet Smakelijk" for the Holidays has completely sold out! Since the interest in this project has been so outstanding, we are now taking orders for books at 10 per copy. If you wish to show your support for our primary Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser for the year, please email the Front Office at info@awcthehague.org to place your order. Please leave your name, contact details, and the number of copies you wish to order. |
