The AWC has been actively involved in philanthropic activities since 1932, when HRH Queen Wilhelmina officially opened the first AWC Holiday Bazaar to benefit a local hospital. Since then, AWC The Hague has supported a wide variety of charitable organizations – with specific focus on local impact in The Hague. AWC is also proud to be a member of FAWCO — the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas. Through FAWCO, members can participate in international and global initiatives to support global understanding, education, human rights, and environmental awareness. All our philanthropic activities and events are organized by our member volunteers.
